Site Supervisor

Overview

In this role you supervise on-site activities for a large-scale ground-mounted Solar PV project in Milton Keynes, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage day-to-day site operations, and act as the main on-site contact with suppliers and the project team. The role emphasizes HSQE/CDM compliance, quality checks, and on-site leadership to drive successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors and daily site activities
• Oversee ground-mounted Solar PV installation works
• Ensure HSQE and CDM requirements are met
• Deliver toolbox talks and monitor site safety
• Monitor workmanship and installation quality
• Report progress, risks, delays and issues to the Project Manager
• Support snagging, quality checks and project completion
• Act as the main on-site contact for subcontractors and suppliers

Key requirements

• 3-5 years’ site supervision experience
• Ground-mounted Solar PV experience – essential
• Experience on large-scale solar or renewable energy projects
• Strong subcontractor management experience
• Good understanding of HSQE and UK construction regulations
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• SMSTS – essential
• First Aid – essential
• Desirable: IOSH / NEBOSH
