Business Information Security Officer

Overview

In this role, you will bridge business, technology and information security to manage risk, strengthen resilience and protect residents, data and services. You’ll shape security culture and embed security into major business initiatives. You work with cross‑functional teams to implement risk reductions and elevate awareness. The opportunity focuses on governance, incident learning and supplier risk to enable Peabody’s mission with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to identify risks, propose controls and oversee their implementation
• Lead the security awareness program across the Peabody group and tailor campaigns for different roles
• Collaborate with resident engagement teams to design resident-focused awareness initiatives
• Lead lessons learnt from incidents, audits and assurance activities to improve content and controls
• Provide security governance, reporting and assurance, supporting audits, risk reviews and regulatory compliance
• Support supplier and third-party security risk assessments and ensure appropriate controls

Key requirements

• Experience collaborating with multiple business units across an organisation
• Ability to articulate cyber security impacts on business services and activities
• Knowledge of governance/oversight of ISO27001, NIST CSF, NCSC CAF or Cyber Essentials
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience deploying security awareness platforms and tailoring content for frontline and leadership roles
• Coaching and advising on positive security behaviours across business areas
