Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will support the electrical delivery on a major HS2 infrastructure project in West London, working with design teams, subcontractors and site management to ensure safe, compliant electrical installations. You’ll coordinate with multiple disciplines, review technical documentation, and support testing, commissioning and handover. The position sits in a collaborative, safety- and quality-focused engineering environment with a clear path for career progression on a long-running project pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of electrical packages across the HS2 project
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, civil and other disciplines
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, designers and site management
• Monitor installation progress, quality and technical compliance
• Assist with technical queries, RFIs and design coordination
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout project delivery
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities
• Ensure electrical installations meet project specifications and relevant standards
• Maintain strong health & safety and quality standards
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input where required

Key requirements

• Experience as Electrical Engineer in construction, MEP or infrastructure
• Strong understanding of electrical building services and installation
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical information
• Previous experience on major infrastructure projects advantageous
• Strong technical, communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project environment
• Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience
• CSCS/site-based certification
