Senior Calypso Software Developer – London

Overview

In this role you will contribute as a Senior Calypso Software Developer in London, shaping development for the collateral management platform and future business lines. You’ll translate requirements into actionable tasks, collaborate with BA/QA, and deliver quality code within timescales. You will support stability and continuity, mentor juniors, and ensure AML compliance in a regulated financial environment. This is a chance to work on Calypso V14 and broaden capabilities in cash management, FX and securities.

Responsibilities

• Assess business requirements and provide development estimates
• Translate user requirements into user stories and technical tasks
• Collaborate with BA and QA to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
• Deliver high-quality code changes within deadlines
• Manage service integration and transition from CTB
• Develop and conduct regression and NFR testing
• Follow change and incident management processes (ITIL preferred)
• Act as Second/Third Line RTB escalation
• Provide regular development progress updates
• Mentor and support junior team members
• Maintain AML compliance with applicable laws and policies
• Provide overnight support to ensure system stability and availability

Key requirements

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Experience in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services
• Senior level analyst developer/Team Leader
• Experience leading support/development teams
• Knowledge of trade life cycle including settlements, collateral, securities
