What Will You Do?
As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you’ll help us set the tone in an established Children’s Home . You will help the care team provide both vision and stability and use your experience and therapeutic knowledge to craft a nurturing environment that feels like a true home for our young people.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Guidance: Mentor and support a team of residential childcare workers, instilling best practices and a therapeutic approach to daily interactions.
Therapeutic Care: Implement strategies that promote emotional and psychological well-being, tailoring care to the unique needs of each child.
Community Building: Help create a safe, inviting home atmosphere where every child can thrive.
Collaboration: Work alongside other professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic care that supports all aspects of a child’s development.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are looking for someone with a solid background in residential childcare, with hands‑on experience in supporting managing the complexities of a children’s home. You will bring a deep‑stated passion for using therapeutic approaches in the care of young people.
Holding a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential for the SRCCW post.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £49.50. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £12.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £49.50.
