Engineering Manager, Global Public Sector

Overview

In this role, you lead Scale’s international engineering efforts to deliver AI-powered, production-grade applications for public sector clients. You will guide cross-functional delivery, architect backend services for AI-driven products, and mentor engineers as you drive rapid, quality features from concept to production. The role combines technical leadership with strategic influence to shape Scale’s public-sector impact and platform scaling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team to drive technical delivery across international projects
• Design and optimize backend services for AI-driven applications (agents, evaluation tooling, automation)
• Work cross-functionally with internal and external customers
• Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to production
• Deliver high-velocity experiments with quality to engage customers
• Shape culture, values, and processes within a growing engineering team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Key requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of experience managing backend engineers (preferred)
