Director, Systems Project Management & Commissioning

Overview

As Global Director, you will lead the global project management and commissioning of Food & Beverage systems, driving on-time, on-budget delivery and high customer satisfaction. You will build standard processes, governance, and risk management under the DBS framework, developing a high-performing, cross-functional team. The role shapes global program execution and continuous improvement across regions, with a strong impact on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will partner across functions to ensure successful bid-to-execution handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global project management organization and establish standard PM processes, governance, stage gates, and performance metrics aligned with DBS
• Manage project planning, resource allocation, schedule, cost control, and customer communications to improve predictability and profitability
• Lead the global commissioning organization for startup, commissioning, testing, and customer acceptance with standard work and readiness reviews
• Drive first-time-right execution, reduce cycle times, and improve field productivity while ensuring safety, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements
• Own the global risk management process, including risk registers, mitigation, escalation, contingency planning, and executive reviews
• Partner with Sales, Application Engineering, SLS, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Service to ensure robust handoffs and aligned commitments
• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Project Managers and Commissioning Engineers, fostering DBS training and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Demonstrable leadership in project management, systems engineering, capital projects, or industrial process systems
• Experience leading global, cross-functional diverse teams
• Strong project financial management, risk management, contract management, and change control
• Proven track record in operational excellence and process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, DBS or similar)
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally
