Overview

Platform Engineer to help shift internal tooling into a self-serve platform, automating cloud infrastructure as code on Azure. You will split time between hands-on build work and collaboration with product engineering, operations, security and compliance. Own end-to-end platform work from design through testing, documentation and handover. Contribute to scalable, repeatable infrastructure patterns and improve how teams interact with cloud services. Responsibilities

• Split time between hands-on build work and cross-team collaboration
• Own defined platform work end-to-end (build, test, documentation, handover)
• Define done criteria including testing, rollback, and support requirements
• Write and maintain pipelines and automation for cloud-based SaaS environments
• Create reusable templates, modules, and runbooks for long-term usability
• Engage in design discussions and code reviews to share knowledge
• Flag risks and dependencies early with options, not just problems
• Keep documentation up-to-date for future users

Key requirements

• Practical IaC experience with Terraform / Terraform Cloud
• Hands-on production cloud experience (Azure/Azure DevOps preferred, open to AWS/GCP)
• Git-based version control and CI/CD with code reviews
• Automation/scripting with PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Understanding of cloud networking and identity concepts
• Experience testing changes and following a formal change process
• Ability to contribute ideas to technical designs and challenge options
• Clear written and verbal communication on progress, risks, blockers
• Responsible use of AI-assisted development tools
