Commodities Trading Application Support – Commodities / Fixed Income

Overview

In this role you support trading applications on a cross-asset desk focused on Trayport and gas/power trading. You’ll be part of a small team within a fast-moving quant trading environment known for rigorous approach and smart colleagues. You help ensure smooth operation of desktop and market-data tools, resolve issues, and document resolutions to enable future efficiency. You contribute ideas to improve current technology and automate repetitive processes. This is a chance to shape trading workflows in a 24/7 global setting, with strong emphasis on execution and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support desktop technology and market-data applications
• Respond to calls and manage issues through resolution, including escalations
• Create technical documentation, test plans and knowledge bases
• Suggest improvements for current technology and future deployments
• Identify and help automate processes within Infrastructure and Trading

Key requirements

• Experience of Application Support for Fixed Income or Commodities Applications
• Experience within the last year at a Fund or Prop Trading Firm
• Computer Science or STEM degree
• Experience in trade floor support of trading applications
