Overview

In this role you will manage a diverse SME client portfolio within a forward-thinking CA firm’s Business Service/Advisory Group. You will plan and deliver accounts preparation, meet deadlines, and contribute to some tax work while mentoring junior colleagues. The role involves working with charities and utilizing strong IT accounting experience, including cloud-based solutions. You’ll have study support opportunities and a flexible, supportive environment as you progress toward ACCA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio (SMEs and charities) with effective planning and timely delivery
• Prepare accounts and related financial statements
• Engage in some tax work and compliance tasks
• Coach and mentor junior team members
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet client needs
• Utilize IT accounting packages with emphasis on cloud-based solutions
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support business growth

Key requirements

• Experience in accounts preparation gained from a UK CA Firm
• Strong IT accounts package experience, including cloud packages
• AAT qualified or studying ACCA (desirable) with willingness to qualify
• Proven track record across SME clients and charities
• Excellent planning, organizational and mentoring skills
