Sanderson King’s Hospitality Practice is extremely honoured to be supporting a leading hospitality and food and beverage business with the appointment of a Group Finance Director / CFO.
This is a senior, highly visible appointment for an accomplished finance leader who can combine strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach. Working closely with the CEO, Board and wider leadership team, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the financial leadership of the Group and play a central role in its continued growth and development.
The role will include:
- Leading the Group’s finance function and developing a high-performing team
- Acting as a trusted commercial partner to the CEO, Board and senior leadership team
- Providing clear financial insight to support commercial and strategic decision-making
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting and financial planning
- Strengthening financial controls, systems, processes and management information
- Supporting business planning, investment decisions and future growth opportunities
- Improving commercial performance, profitability and operational efficiency
- Managing external relationships with auditors, banks, advisers and other stakeholders
- Ensuring all statutory, tax, regulatory and governance requirements are met
The successful candidate must have:
- Significant senior finance leadership experience at Group Finance Director or CFO level
- Strong food and beverage and/or hospitality sector experience
- Experience working within an SME, entrepreneurial or founder-led environment
- A willingness to remain hands-on and close to the operational detail
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence at Board level
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- A recognised professional accounting qualification
Candidates whose experience has been gained solely within large PLC or highly corporate environments are unlikely to be suitable. The ability to operate effectively within a fast-moving SME environment is essential.
This is a rare opportunity to join an established and highly regarded hospitality business in a pivotal leadership position.
