Senior Clinical Lead GP – Crowborough

Responsibilities

• Provide visible clinical leadership and be a contact point for quality and safety concerns
• Develop and embed clinical governance systems with active participation from medical staff
• Lead clinical strategy, improvement planning, and quality assurance across the practice
• Collaborate with Practice Management, PCNs, and SPC leads to drive service improvement and staff development
• Oversee clinical quality and safety, ensure NICE implementation, significant event reviews, and CQC compliance
• Jointly act as CQC Registered Manager and Caldicott Guardian
• Coordinate practice education and supervision, keeping staff up to date with policy changes
• Provide supervision for GPs and non-medical prescribers within the SPC Clinical Leadership Model
• Establish relationships with SPC leads and other practices to share learning and best practice
• Sign off policies and lead components of QOF/LCS and IIF
• Attend QA meetings and align with SPC Clinical Governance structure
• Collaborate with practice executive team and ACP clinical lead

Key requirements

• Medical practitioner registered on the General Practitioner Register
• MRCGP or 5 years as full-time GP with quality practice
• Currently on a performers list and not suspended
• Enhanced DBS check
• Evidence of continued professional development
• Willingness to collaborate across the primary health team
• Ability to work flexibly and maintain confidentiality
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within NHS regulatory structures
• Experience in multi-disciplinary teams and quality standards (QOF, Clinical Governance)
• Strong record-keeping, time management, and adaptability to change
• UK Registration and current professional status
