Overview

In this Senior Fire Engineer role, you lead fire engineering projects within a growing, multidisciplinary safety consultancy in Central London. You will shape fire strategies, mentor junior engineers, and deliver hands-on design across sectors such as residential, commercial, and heritage. The position offers hybrid working, a collaborative culture, and opportunities to drive department growth. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure UK codes and best practices are embedded in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior Fire Engineers as needed
• Lead multiple projects from design through implementation
• Follow RIBA stages of work
• Perform fire engineering design and analysis
• Develop fire strategies and CFD modelling
• Attend internal, client and design-team meetings (remote, on-site)

Key requirements

• Degree in Fire Engineering or similar
• 5+ years’ experience in Fire Engineering within a consultancy
• Chartered Fire Engineer (CEng) or working towards
• UK Fire Code knowledge
• Excellent report writing skills
• Excellent mentoring / management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel to the office 1 day per week
• Based near good transport links to London
