Overview

In this role you lead Environmental Impact Assessments for infrastructure projects, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation. You will drive sustainability-focused outcomes, manage budgets and resources, and coordinate with regulators, clients and engineers. The role blends technical leadership with stakeholder engagement to shape responsible project delivery. You will contribute to the firm’s mission by reducing environmental risk and advancing climate resilience across projects. Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments for infrastructure projects
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver EIA work
• Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and planning policy
• Implement carbon reduction and climate resilience initiatives
• Engage stakeholders and manage communications
• Manage project budgets, programmes and resources

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in an environmental or related discipline
• Chartered Environmentalist (or equivalent)
• Strong consultancy experience within highways, construction or infrastructure
• Excellent knowledge of EIA processes, assessment methodologies and planning legislation
• Proven experience delivering environmental assessments, consents and sustainability initiatives
• Strong report writing, project management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
