MET Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive business based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, for the position of MET Technician. Duties of a MET Technician:

• Conducting mechanical, electrical, and trim work on Light Commercial Vehicles
• Stripping and refitting components to facilitate structural and cosmetic repairs
• Diagnosing faults and reinstating safety-critical systems
• Collaborating with estimators, panel, and paint teams to meet repair schedules
• Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer standards and internal quality checks
• Maintaining high standards of repair quality and safety at all times

Requirements of a MET Technician:

• Proven experience as an MET Technician
• Relevant qualifications such as IMI, NVQ, or ATA in MET are preferred; demonstrable time-served experience will also be considered
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures
• Methodical, accurate approach with excellent fault-finding skills
• Team-focused attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality
