Overview

In this Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you will lead cost planning and estimation for new build residential and mixed-use schemes across RIBA Stages 0–5, with a focus on high-rise re-cladding and fire remediation. You’ll operate within a specialist cost consultancy team serving clients and supporting design decisions. The role combines technical cost work with client interaction to drive value and ensure competitive, accurate budgets. Responsibilities

• Produce accurate, competitive cost estimates for clients
• Develop cost plans across RIBA 0–5
• Handle client-side valuations and certification
• Prepare cost/benefit analyses of design options
• Perform value engineering on projects
• Review and analyse main contractor tenders
• Attend client and design team meetings

Key requirements

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor, Cost Manager, or Cost Planner
• Consultancy background essential
• Experience with cladding remediation work
• MRICS or working towards
• Residential JCT experience desirable
• MS Office, CostX, and Bluebeam experience
