Credit Controller

Overview

As Credit Controller you will manage a portfolio of customer accounts to drive timely collections and support cash forecasts. You’ll work closely with Sales, Finance and Credit Risk to resolve issues, minimise risk, and improve financial performance. The role offers growth within a global business and a clear path to develop credit control expertise in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage timely collection of debt across key customer accounts
• Build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve queries and drive payments
• Review held orders to support safe order release and minimise risk
• Investigate escalated customer queries and complaints
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Credit Risk and third-party collections provider to manage complex accounts
• Produce debtor reporting, cash forecasts and other working capital reports
• Identify process improvements to enhance working practices

Key requirements

• Experience in a Credit Control role is essential
• Excellent communication skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial information
• Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Proactive, with strong priority management and ownership of issues until resolution
