Overview
In this role you will promote AWS services to higher education in Scotland, engaging with university leaders and technical teams to expand adoption. You will own a territory plan, articulate AWS value, and drive customer outcomes in teaching, research, and operations. You’ll work with partners to extend reach and maintain a healthy pipeline, navigating multi-stakeholder procurement. This role offers the opportunity to shape cloud adoption at scale within HE and impact strategic institutional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Promote AWS services in a defined territory or industry vertical
- Develop and execute an account/territory plan
- Create and articulate compelling value propositions for AWS services
- Facilitate customer adoption
- Maintain a robust projects pipeline
- Collaborate with partners to extend reach and promote adoption
- Contribute to a positive customer experience
Key requirements
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders across teams
- Pipeline management experience, including Salesforce or other CRM tools
- 3–5 years in account management, sales, or business development in Higher Education
- Experience working with universities, colleges, or further education institutions
- Track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder HE procurement cycles
- Ability to navigate long, consensus-driven procurement with multiple stakeholders
- Experience developing account plans aligned to institutional strategies (e.g., Teaching Excellence, Research Excellence Framework)
- Ability to articulate technology value propositions in an academic context
