Senior Project Controls Engineer – Energy & Renewables

Overview

As Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will plan, monitor and control costs, schedules and risks for major conventional energy field development projects. You will align time, cost, risk, change and scope to deliver projects on time, within cost targets and to quality standards. You’ll create robust schedules and cost reports to support management decisions and client objectives. This role offers impact through integrated project controls and collaboration with cross-functional teams to reduce uncertainty and improve efficiency. Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project schedules aligned with client requirements
• Develop and maintain project cost budgets and forecasts
• Monitor and control cost commitments, accruals, expenditures and changes
• Manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
• Help develop project status reports for management
• Support master change management deployment
• Assist with Integrated Project Controls standards and processes
• Define project scope with the team to update detailed schedules and cost data
• Analyze schedule progress, identify variances and suggest recovery actions
• Ensure coherent integration of cost and schedule information for decision-making
• Maintain project risk registers and conduct progress reviews
• Consolidate contractor schedules into Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Prepare weekly and monthly project controls reports

Key requirements

• Professional project controls experience in planning & scheduling across the project lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 (or MSP) and other planning/resourcing software
• Effective communicator with leadership, influence and coaching能力
• Ability to make risk-based decisions with unclear parameters
• Strong stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to mobilise and lead by example
• Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., APM or PMI) is not mandatory
