We’re looking for a commercially minded and hands-on Financial Controller who wants to play a key role in shaping the future of a growing business. Working closely with our Managing Director, Board and senior leaders, you’ll help strengthen our finance function, improve financial controls and reporting, support strategic decision-making and drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

The Opportunity
As Financial Controller, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day finance function.
- Produce accurate and timely management information.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance and reporting processes.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management activities.
- Support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Develop and coach finance colleagues.Work closely with senior leaders to improve business performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency.
- Support strategic projects and business change initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
We’re looking for somebody who can demonstrate:
Financial Technical Expertise & Control
You have strong technical finance knowledge and can provide confidence in reporting, controls, governance and financial management.
Operational Ownership & Hands-On Delivery
You’re not afraid to roll your sleeves up. You stay close to the detail, take ownership and deliver results.
Commercial Insight & Decision Support
You understand the story behind the numbers and use financial information to support better decisions and business outcomes.
Influencing, Leadership & Accountability
You build credibility quickly, develop others and create accountability across teams.
Continuous Improvement & Change
You challenge how things are done and look for practical ways to improve systems, controls and performance.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Leadership and management experience.
- Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
- Strong financial controls and governance knowledge.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and sound judgement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach.
Experience in financial services, financial planning, wealth management or another regulated environment would be advantageous. Experience with Power BI, automation and business intelligence reporting would also be beneficial.
