Warehouse Operative

A large research organisation, based in South Oxfordshire require an experienced warehouse/stores person for their busy goods in and logistics function.

A major refit and upgrade is taking place, with a large volume of goods being received and despatched daily.

Main Duties

• Coordinate, arrange and record all dispatches from site




• Package items/goods sufficiently for safe dispatch and transportation.




• Use of Stock Control System and registration of deliveries / goods




• File delivery notes and signed Receipt Registration labels.




• Inform staff and contractors when deliveries have arrived.




• Relocate parcels / deliveries to storage compounds / locations.




• Resolution of queries arising from missing deliveries and damaged goods etc.




• Stock management of consumables.




• Housekeeping and General Administration duties as required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous general warehousing/stores or goods-in and Despatch experience




• Computer literate and experienced in the use of stock/materials control systems




• Full Drivers Licence – Previous van driving experience would be advantageious




• Previous Forklift experience is preferred but onsite training may be availableThe role is available immediately, initially for a 6-month period but an extension up to 3 years is possible.
