Civil Engineer

Overview

As a Civil Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley, you contribute to major UK water projects delivering sustainable water and wastewater solutions. You’ll work within a collaborative team to design, model, and integrate civil components with other disciplines, supporting delivery from design through operation. Responsibilities

• Prepare outline and detailed civil designs and calculations (civil, hydraulic, structural)
• Produce technical and commercial specifications, design reports and schedules
• Develop and mark up models and drawings
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to deliver practical and safe solutions
• Incorporate whole-life carbon and circular economy considerations into designs
• Conduct site and asset surveys to inform requirements
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Geotechnical and Structural designers and ensure on-programme delivery within budget
• Manage interfaces and integration with other disciplines
• Engage with the client to support their aims with a one-team approach

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
• Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical problem-solving approach
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across region
