Data Governance Analyst – Metadata

Overview

In this role you will strengthen a data-driven culture by delivering metadata services that enable trusted, discoverable data and AI products. You will work in the metadata pillar to mature governance tooling and support business decision-making, with exposure to Collibra and Unity Catalog. You’ll collaborate with data owners and stewards, drive improvements, and translate governance into business value in a fast-paced transformation. This is a chance to shape data governance capabilities across the organization while advancing AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the metadata roadmap and key initiatives
• Develop and enhance Collibra and Unity Catalog capabilities
• Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards for data delivery and quality governance
• Demonstrate metadata tool capabilities to business stakeholders
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities via metadata solutions
• Coach stakeholders on business context in metadata management
• Contribute to ongoing development of data governance practices supporting data and AI initiatives

Key requirements

• Strong understanding of data governance best practices and metadata management
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in data governance within financial services
• Hands-on experience with Collibra or similar tools (Informatica, Ataccama, Alation)
• Awareness or experience with Databricks Unity Catalog
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Adaptability in a fast-changing environment and a proactive mindset
