Assembly Technician

Location: Melbourn, near Royston (SG8)

Type of Work: Temporary

Duration: 3 months initially, with transfer to permanent staff for the right candidates

Hours: 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hour week). Moving to weekly shift rotations after training. Early / Late shift (6.15am – 2.15pm and 2pm – 10pm on a weekly rotation)

Salary: £17 per hour

Polytec is looking for Assembly Technicians to complete manufacturing tasks in a cleanroom environment for our client based in Melbourn, near Royston.

Responsibilities

• Assembling small plastic components within a cleanroom

Requirements

• Experience assembling small items
• Attention to detail, good dexterity, and an awareness of quality requirements
• Cleanroom experience would be useful but full training will be given. Must be comfortable in lab PPE including hairnet, shoe covers, gloves, and coat
• Familiarity with a glovebox assembly would be beneficial
