Overview
In this role, you will trim and assemble cured carbon panels with high precision in a state-of-the-art composites facility. You will work on pre-preg carbon components for Formula 1, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and serialisation. The position focuses on precision finishing, bonding, and QA sign-off to support performance and reliability. This is a hands-on, safety-focused role in a high-speed motorsport environment with opportunities to extend based on performance. You will contribute to delivering tightly toleranced, Class-A carbon structures that meet stringent standards.

Responsibilities
- Precision-trim cured carbon panels to 0.1 mm using 5-axis jigs and cutting tools
- Drill, countersink and ream fastener holes in structural sections and aero devices
- Bond assemblies with structural adhesives (Hysol 9394, Araldite 2011, 3M DP490)
- Fit inserts, brackets, hinges, and quick-release mechanisms with torque-controlled tools
- Surface-finish Class-A carbon (sand/ polish)
- Laser-project ply boundaries and trim lines; verify with Romer arm and GOM ATOS
- Complete SAP bookings, cure-cycle logs, and QA sign-off for each serialized part
Key requirements
- Experience in trimming and assembly of pre-preg carbon in F1, F2, WEC or aerospace
- Proficient in PlyCut, Catia V5 CPD, and Teamcenter for drawing interrogation
- Certified in Loctite/Huntsman adhesive systems, or willing to complete day-1 training
- Comfortable wearing full PPE including airline respirators and nitrile gloves for 8-hour shifts
- Immediate availability and clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available)
