As a Manager in Deloitte’s Private Capital Tax team, you will advise asset management clients on fund structures, management remuneration, and investor taxation. You’ll work with cross‑functional specialists to deliver joined‑up tax solutions for private equity, debt, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds. The role emphasizes leadership of diverse teams and contribution to the team’s eminence through knowledge sharing. Responsibilities
- Advising on tax issues for advisor/manager of private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure or hedge funds
- Structuring global carried interest and co-investment plans; structuring fund and fund management business
- Providing bespoke tax advice on long‑term incentives and complex fund investments for fund management staff
- Reviewing partnership tax reporting schedules for investors or fund management team
- Advising fund managers on tax implications of investments in Funds of Funds
- Managing diverse teams across Deloitte and partner firms in an inclusive culture
- Contributing to the team’s eminence through knowledge sharing and thought leadership
- Supporting professional development of junior team members
- Collaborating with credit and restructuring, M&A and Real Estate tax teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Participating in non‑hierarchical client teams and wider global project teams
Key requirements
- Understanding of disguised investment management fee, carried interest and UK tax legislation preferred
- ACA or ATT/CTA or equivalent qualification and experience (preferable)
- Ability to build relationships and communicate complex ideas clearly
- Team player with ownership mindset, initiative, and ability to work under pressure
- Experience/knowledge of private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure or hedge funds
- Strong understanding of tax law and meticulous attention to detail
