Overview
In-life Lending Manager at Allica Bank leads ongoing credit oversight of the loan book and manages post-origination customer interactions. You’ll balance risk controls with supportive customer service, driving scalable processes as the team scales. The role sits at the heart of the Credit Monitoring Team, collaborating across underwriting, relationship, and collections to protect the bank and deliver strong customer outcomes. Responsibilities
- Own and assess complex borrower requests such as restructures, security changes, and loan modifications; coordinate with underwriting and relationship teams to make credit decisions; ensure consistent processes and high-quality documentation
- Monitor credit risk by reviewing Early Warning Indicator (EWI) alerts and triaging issues; identify emerging risks and support remediation strategies
- Manage pre-watchlist accounts and contribute to remediation efforts to protect the bank’s position
- Deliver customer outcomes in line with Consumer Duty and TCF; collaborate with relationship, underwriting, and collections teams; engage with broker-introduced customers as per agreements
- Help build and embed scalable in-life lending processes; develop meaningful MI and reporting for oversight and planning; identify trends and drive cross-functional improvements
- Contribute to continuous improvement as the team evolves; maintain robust controls and accurate documentation
Key requirements
- strong understanding of SME/commercial lending and in-life credit risk monitoring; ability to interpret EWIs and detect deteriorating credit signals
