Overview

As an MOC Engineer, you will provide real-time technical leadership to safeguard aircraft availability across the global fleet. You’ll support flight crews and engineers round-the-clock, guiding defect management and AOG recovery to minimise disruption. You work closely with operations, base maintenance, and OEMs to maintain readiness and resolve complex technical issues. This role combines hands-on support with strategic oversight in a fast-paced environment, offering opportunities to shape maintenance planning and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time technical support and troubleshooting guidance to global flight crews and engineers
  • Lead defect management calls with line stations and third-party providers
  • Proactively manage Deferred Defects and maintenance activity to protect aircraft availability
  • Coordinate worldwide Line Maintenance activities and act as central point of control
  • Take ownership of AOG situations and drive recovery plans across stakeholders
  • Interface between Line Maintenance, Part M, and support departments on airworthiness matters
  • Liaise with OEMs on complex technical issues
  • Analyse component trends and optimize troubleshooting strategies
  • Provide hands-on operational support when required
  • Deputise for the MOC Duty Manager when needed

Key requirements

  • Valid CAA / EASA B1 or B2 Licence
  • Completed a recognised Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Strong experience in AOG recovery and operational decision-making
  • Confident in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Solid working knowledge of AMOS and maintenance planning systems
  • Problem-solver with logical, quick decision-making
  • Strong communicator capable of translating technical issues across teams
  • Ability to balance operational priorities with commercial impact
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Willing to travel at short notice to support operations
