Agile Research – Clinical Research Practitioner

Overview

In this role you will deliver NIHR Portfolio research across secondary care and wider care settings in the Humber and North Yorkshire region. You will work within the Agile Research Delivery Team to support research initiation and delivery across healthcare sites, including community-based practice. The position involves travel between locations, with a base at Wizu Workspace York or Humber Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, and exposure to both commercial and non-commercial studies. You will contribute to expanding research delivery in under-served regions, shaping how care programmes are studied and improved. Responsibilities

• travel across the Humber and North Yorkshire region to deliver clinical and non-clinical research
• conduct NIHR Portfolio adopted research in Wider Care Settings and community
• work across hospital-based and community settings to support study initiation and delivery
• apply clinical skills (phlebotomy, ECG recording, sample processing) as part of research delivery
• align with regulatory frameworks governing safe and effective research delivery
• support cross-site collaboration within the Agile Research Delivery Team

Key requirements

• experience delivering research in dynamic environments or in community-based practice
• knowledge of legislative frameworks governing safe and effective research delivery
• clinical skills for research delivery (phlebotomy, ECG recording, sample processing)
• ability to travel within Humber and North Yorkshire region
• experience with both commercial and non-commercial research
