As the first point of contact for parents/carers and children coming to the CDC for appointments, the Healthcare Assistant is responsible for providing a friendly welcome and carrying out clinical observations as required. The applicant will have excellent communication skills and be able to support children and young people with a range of complex medical needs.
Ensuring the clinical areas in line with Infection control policies- preparing clinical spaces, providing appropriate equipment and toys every day. Completing routine infection control checks of CDC is an essential responsibility of the Healthcare Assistant to maintain compliance with CQC standards.
- To carry out duties to ensure the smooth running of clinics in the child development centre.
- To deliver specific nursing interventions, social and play tasks.
- The post-holder will also be expected to undertake some clerical duties.
- To act under direction of qualified professionals.
- Work alongside other Child Development Centre (CDC) staff to provide both a quality and child friendly service.
