Banking & Finance Associate

Overview

In this Banking & Finance role, you will support a leading UK law firm’s top-tier financing practice across sectors, handling multi-jurisdictional deals from inception to close. You’ll work closely with lenders, borrowers, and investors within a dynamic team, shaping conditions precedent and security documents. The position offers exposure to corporate, leveraged, asset, real estate, project finance, and invoice discounting transactions. This is an opportunity to advance in a market-leading environment and contribute to cross-border financing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with borrowers, lenders and investors across the transaction lifecycle
• Review conditions precedent and draft security documents
• Support on a range of financing transactions (corporate lending, leveraged, asset, real estate, project finance, invoice discounting)
• Coordinate with multi-jurisdictional teams and clients
• Assist in negotiating terms and ensuring regulatory/commercial compliance
• Maintain precise documentation and due diligence records

Key requirements

• 1–4 PQE in banking and finance
• experience at a reputable law firm
• strong general banking experience
• experience liaising with borrowers, lenders and investors
• ability to review conditions precedent and draft security documents
• willingness to work in Birmingham or Nottingham
