Manton Heights Abi unit are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Rehabilitation Unit. You will work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with their recovery, rehabilitation and return to greater independence.
You will provide person-centred care and practical support to patients with a range of physical, neurological or other rehabilitation needs. The role is rewarding and varied, with the opportunity to make a positive difference to patients during an important stage of their recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support to patients.
Assist patients with personal care, mobility and daily living activities.
Encourage patients to participate in rehabilitation programmes and activities.
Support patients to develop and maintain their independence.
Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional wellbeing.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.
Work closely with nurses, therapists, doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Promote dignity, privacy, choice and equality at all times.
Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and other relevant policies.
Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families.
