Job Description:

Manton Heights Abi unit are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Rehabilitation Unit. You will work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with their recovery, rehabilitation and return to greater independence.

You will provide person-centred care and practical support to patients with a range of physical, neurological or other rehabilitation needs. The role is rewarding and varied, with the opportunity to make a positive difference to patients during an important stage of their recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support to patients.

  • Assist patients with personal care, mobility and daily living activities.

  • Encourage patients to participate in rehabilitation programmes and activities.

  • Support patients to develop and maintain their independence.

  • Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional wellbeing.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.

  • Work closely with nurses, therapists, doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

  • Promote dignity, privacy, choice and equality at all times.

  • Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and other relevant policies.

  • Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families.

Previous experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation or care environment is desirable, although full training may be provided for the right candidate.
