Technical Manager

Overview

In this Technical Manager role, you will own the technical delivery of a large RC-frame residential scheme in South London, guiding the project from Stage 3 design through to delivery. You will lead the Gateway process, shape the technical strategy, and build the project team to ensure successful construction. You’ll collaborate with development, commercial, and construction teams to resolve technical challenges and align with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on, autonomous role with meaningful impact on a major scheme and its delivery timeline.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery of a large-scale RC-frame residential scheme
• Manage Stage 3 design progression through to construction
• Lead the Gateway application process and ensure regulatory compliance
• Oversee design development, coordination with consultants, and technical integration
• Collaborate with development, commercial, and construction teams
• Assist in building and mentoring the technical/project team
• Provide technical leadership through procurement, mobilisation and delivery
• Identify and resolve technical issues across the project lifecycle

Key requirements

• 3–5 years experience at Senior Technical Manager / Technical Manager level
• Strong track record on large-scale residential developments
• Background with residential developer/client or Tier 1/2 contractor
• Solid understanding of RC-frame construction and technical delivery
• Experience through design development into construction
• BSR / Building Safety Act experience desirable
• Autonomous and capable of taking ownership of a project
