Site Engineer (Civil)

Overview

In this role you will support the delivery of civil engineering projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt, ensuring works are set out, surveyed, and completed to specification. You will work closely with site teams to maintain quality, safety, and programme milestones within a growing contractor. Responsibilities

• Setting out and surveying works per technical drawings and specs
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards
• Interpreting and reviewing drawings, identifying issues
• Maintaining QA documentation and as-built records
• Supporting planning and programme delivery on site
• Assisting site and project management with daily operations

Key requirements

• Previous Site Engineer experience in civil engineering
• Strong setting-out capability using GPS / Total Station
• Experience in infrastructure, groundworks, or general civils
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
