Overview
In this role you will support the hospital’s commercial growth by managing relationships with key referrers and by facilitating business development activities. You will work closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams to promote the hospital, attract patients, and convert opportunities into revenue. You will lead initiatives with consultants, GPs, and allied health professionals, translating strategic direction into actionable plans. This position offers a chance to shape growth in a leading private hospital with a charitable model that supports an on-site hospice. You will operate across cross-functional teams to drive measurable impact and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with consultants, prioritise engagement and allocate resources
- Maximise consultants’ time utilization and capacity
- Support new consultant inductions and practice setup
- Lead specialty-specific projects to develop best-practice services
- Coordinate specialty meetings with consultant leads aligned to hospital strategy and MAC
- Organise events to engage GPs and consultants
- Gather marketplace intelligence to inform new initiatives
- Provide feedback to the team based on services delivered
- Promote the GP educational programme and run events
- Analyze financial and activity data to drive business
- Leverage local business knowledge to raise awareness and referrals for self-pay and PMI opportunities
Key requirements
- Degree level education or equivalent Business Development experience
- At least 1 year of business development or sales experience
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, seeking guidance when needed
- Working knowledge of the independent hospital sector
- Proven experience managing projects with a collaborative, professional approach under pressure
