Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading construction business to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to support the delivery of major projects in Belgium.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Contracts Manager to take ownership of contract administration across the full project lifecycle. Working closely with project teams, clients and the commercial function, you’ll play a key role in managing contractual risk, change, claims and procurement while protecting the company’s commercial position.
The Opportunity
- Manage contract administration from mobilisation through to project completion
- Provide contractual and commercial advice across project teams, clients and supply chain partners
- Prepare and manage contractual notices, claims, variations and extensions of time
- Assess variations, compensation events and claims
- Administer subcontract and supply agreements
- Maintain contract registers, risk logs and audit-ready documentation
- Support procurement, tender evaluations and contract negotiations
- Lead dispute avoidance and support resolution of contractual issues
- Prepare commercial reports, forecasts and KPI updates for senior management
What You’ll Need
- Proven contract management experience within construction, ideally with a main contractor, developer or consultancy
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including JCT, NEC or equivalent
- Experience preparing and assessing claims, variations and contractual notices
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Experience maintaining contract registers, DMS records and audit trails
- Relevant construction, commercial management, contract administration or legal qualification/membership would be advantageous
