Temporary Production Operative / Pick Packer Immediate Starts

We’re recruiting Production Operatives / Pick Packers for an immediate start with a leading fresh produce business. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity offering full-time hours, weekly pay and full training.

Pay

£12.71 per hour

Working Hours

7:00am 2:45pmMonday to Friday15-minute morning break (unpaid)30-minute lunch break (unpaid)Opportunities for earlier start and finish times depending on business needs

The Role

you’ll rotate between the Packhouse and Glasshouse, carrying out a variety of production and pick packing duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking and packing fresh produce
  • Packing tomatoes and cucumbers into trays and containers
  • Quality checking products before dispatch
  • Preparing orders for distribution
  • Working on a busy production line
  • Labelling and packing products
  • Harvesting fresh produce
  • Supporting general crop maintenance
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene standards
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous pick packing, production operative, warehouse, factory, food production, or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable standing for long periods
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Willing to follow health & safety and food hygiene procedures
