European Banks Research Analyst, Assistant Vice President

Overview

In this AVP role you will contribute to Citi’s European Banks research by building financial models, drafting reports, and communicating our ideas to institutional clients. You will support the lead analyst and collaborate with teams to identify sector trends, while conducting due diligence and maintaining rigorous risk awareness. The position combines analytical rigor with client engagement and industry networking to shape investment perspectives. You will operate in a regulated environment, upholding compliance and ethics as you advance in equity research.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models and valuation analyses
• Write research reports and communicate ideas to institutional investors
• Conduct due diligence and identify sector trends with Citi teams
• Support senior analysts and contribute to wider team efforts
• Interact with institutional clients and arrange company visits
• Attend industry conferences and engage with industry contacts
• Track company events and earnings releases
• Establish expertise in European Banks and assess investment risk with due regard to compliance

Key requirements

• Experience in Research or ACA/CFA preferred
• Knowledge of accounting and financial modelling
• Experience supporting senior research analysts
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills
• Attention to detail
• Secure and maintain applicable licenses
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
• Certified Role qualification under FCA and PRA regimes
