Overview
In this role you will contribute to water-sector projects from needs identification through detailed design, collaborating across disciplines to deliver safe, effective solutions. You will work within Stantec’s water-focused teams, contributing to AMP8-scale programmes and award-winning projects that improve water quality and resilience. You will mentor colleagues, manage design deliverables, and help projects meet time and budget targets. Responsibilities
- Develop solutions from needs identification and feasibility through outline and detailed design
- Collaborate with other disciplines to deliver integrated designs
- Support and lead other civil engineers within the team
- Produce designs and design deliverables within required timescales and budgets
- Contribute to design review and ensure quality standards are met
- Engage with AMP8 water sector projects across the UK and Ireland
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development
- Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering
- Chartered status and membership of a relevant engineering institution (preferred)
- Experience in the water industry with design and construction knowledge
- Experience delivering designs from concept to detailed design
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and lead other engineers
- Proven track record delivering designs on time and within budget
