French-speaking Financial Controller

Overview

In this role you will own financial accounting, compliance and reporting for multiple entities within a global consumer goods business. You will lead month-end and year-end processes, ensure statutory and regulatory filings, and maintain strong controls. You’ll drive process improvements and support a growing Shared Finance function, collaborating with cross-border teams. This is a high-visibility, technical controller position with opportunities to shape governance and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare statutory accounts and regulatory filings
• Ensure VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales List compliance
• Review balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain strong financial controls and SOX compliance
• Manage auditor relationships
• Support group reporting activities
• Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
• Supervise and develop Assistant Controllers

Key requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Fluent French and English
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
• SAP experience
• Multi-entity, multi-currency experience
• Experience managing teams and/or outsourced providers
• Strong understanding of controls, compliance and governance
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
