Overview

In this Product Manager role, you will own the end-to-end onboarding journeys for Credit and Banking, guiding new and existing customers from sign-up to activation. You’ll map the full flow, identify drop-offs and pain points, and optimise for efficiency, while balancing user experience with architecture and compliance. You’ll lead discovery, work with engineering and design to scope solutions, and present recommendations to stakeholders. You’ll build reusable platform components to scale across products and prioritise work using data and customer insight, contributing to Capital on Tap’s SME-focused growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end onboarding design and delivery across Credit and Banking for new and existing customers
  • Map journeys including unhappy paths and optimize for efficiency
  • Lead discovery and competitor research to identify onboarding improvements
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to scope solutions while considering architecture and compliance
  • Present recommendations to stakeholders and drive delivery to completion
  • Build reusable, configurable platform components to scale onboarding across products
  • Prioritise problems using data and customer insight
  • Contribute to long-term strategic dominance in the SME sector

Key requirements

  • 3-5 years of product management experience
  • Experience building or improving customer onboarding flows or UX/flow design background
  • Comfort working across front-end UX and back-end system architecture
  • Knowledge of financial services and compliance concepts (KYC, KYB, IDV) or direct onboarding optimisation experience (ideally both)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to stay calm under workload pressure
  • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to communicate direction to stakeholders
  • Bonus: experience with rewards, loyalty programmes, or subscription billing systems
