Risk Analyst

Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver risk management across major energy projects, programmes and portfolios within Arcadis’ Energy Networks & Renewables team. You will apply QSRA / QCRA methods to identify and mitigate cost, schedule and business risks, supporting commercial decisions and embedding best-practice risk processes. You’ll work with delivery teams to maintain high-quality risk governance and drive improvement in tools and data quality. This position offers growth across Northern England and the West Midlands, with a focus on collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable successful outcomes for complex infrastructure programmes. Responsibilities

• Deliver risk management services aligned with client governance and objectives
• Identify, assess, manage, review and report risks, issues and opportunities
• Produce periodic risk reports including risk expenditure and contingency drawdown
• Advise on mitigation, contingency and commercial implications
• Develop and run Quantitative Risk Analysis (cost, schedule, integrated analyses)
• Ensure identification and management of significant risks to project objectives
• Deliver embedded risk management interventions and governance support
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building
• Drive continuous improvement in risk tools, processes and data quality

Key requirements

• Desire to work towards professional certification (APM Risk Certificate or IRM Certificate/Diploma)
• Experience in project/programme/enterprise risk management
• Experience in regulated energy environments
• Strong analytical skills for risk modelling and probabilistic outcomes
• Experience with QRA techniques and tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran)
• Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management tools (Arduino? actually ARM, Predict!, Xactium)
• Understanding of construction contracts and links to risk/controls, project management and cost/quality reporting
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to present complex information simply
• Evidence of risk management plan definition and delivery
• Strong communication, collaboration and facilitation skills
