Overview
In this role you will manage commercial aspects of existing contracts within a nuclear engineering environment, ensuring contract compliance and timely delivery. You will support contract leads with commercial guidance and maintain strong interfaces with clients and internal teams. The position emphasizes NEC contract administration, cost control, and progress reporting to underpin project success. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging CEMAR and Excel to monitor timescales, payments, and change management. This is a security-cleared, UK-national role offering a hands-on position at Warrington with meaningful impact on high-stakes infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Contract administration for existing contracts and support from Commercial Manager
- Provide commercial advice to Contract Leads
- Manage contract timescales and CEMAR usage
- Prepare and review applications for payments
- Coordinate general communications under the contract
- Submit programme and forecast updates as required
- Manage change control and early warnings
- Bid support for new call-off contracts
- Cost control and reporting
- Support weekly and monthly project/contract progress meetings
- Liaise with Client CEMAR Superuser for access/delegation queries
- Communicate with Client commercial team and gather learnings from experience
- Interface with Contract Leads, Finance, Cost Engineering and Project Controls
- Interface with Client Commercial and Project Managers as required
Key requirements
- Strong NEC contract administration experience, preferably NEC4 Professional Service Contracts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel at least intermediate level
- Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
- Able to manage and prioritise competing priorities
- Working to high levels of accuracy and contract compliance
- Ideally prior CEMAR experience
