Overview

As Senior VP, you will own the strategy and end-to-end product management for Citis liquidity and deposit portfolio across the UK and Europe. You will partner with Treasury, Finance, and Risk to optimise balance sheet and funding costs while ensuring regulatory alignment. You’ll drive commercialisation, client advisory, and innovation in liquidity capabilities to grow revenue and market share. This role offers leadership scope in a global bank and direct exposure to senior executives. You will shape how Citi delivers efficient, compliant liquidity solutions for corporate, FI, and public sector clients.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end product management and strategic roadmap for deposit services and liquidity concentration across UK and Europe
  • Lead balance sheet optimisation with Treasury, Finance, and Market Risk; manage deposit mix, duration, and funding costs per LCR/NSFR
  • Establish pricing governance and oversee reviews/approvals via CRM to maximise yield while preserving discipline
  • Drive product innovation in liquidity concentration, interest optimisation, and investment capabilities across European branches
  • Define and execute commercialisation strategies to grow revenue, market share, and deposits in the region
  • Engage senior clients, lead negotiations, RFP processes, and strategic presentations to treasurers
  • Equip sales teams with tools and collateral to sell LMS solutions
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with UK/European frameworks (PRA/FCA, Deposit Protection, FATCA/CRS)
  • Oversee risk governance: MCAs, PAPs, risk reviews; manage product control environment
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax for seamless delivery and governance
  • Leverage data analytics to benchmark performance and identify portfolio rationalisation opportunities
  • Collaborate with Operations and Technology to ensure scalable, real-time liquidity platforms
  • Demonstrate leadership principles: integrity, accountability, collaboration, client-centric innovation

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in Transaction Banking, Corporate Treasury, or Financial Services
  • Deep knowledge of deposit products, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimisation
  • Strong grasp of macroeconomics, interest rate risk, and liquidity metrics (LCR, NSFR)
  • Experience navigating UK/European regulatory environments (PRA/FCA, FATCA/CRS)
  • Proven track record leading large-scale, cross-border product launches or transformations
  • Strategic pricing, deal reviews, and pipeline management via CRM
  • Analytical skills with Big Data and advanced reporting for decision making
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder influence skills
  • MS PowerPoint and Excel proficiency for modelling and reporting
  • Stakeholder management across global, matrixed teams
  • Resilience, adaptability, and execution-focused attitude
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field
  • Preferred: Master’s, MBA, or treasury certification (e.g., ACT, CTP)
