Senior Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help build and scale Capital on Tap’s credit card and payment products for small businesses. You will own the SDLC, develop robust back-end services in .NET and create polished front-ends with React. You will collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and engineers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly experiences. This is a hybrid, London-based role with a strong emphasis on learning and knowledge sharing, within a profitable fintech focused on SME finance.

Responsibilities

• Build robust and scalable solutions using .NET technology
• Own the SDLC from development to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement
• Develop slick, responsive UI with React
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and fellow engineers
• Create unit and integration tests to ensure quality
• Troubleshoot and adjust when bugs arise
• Bridge tech language and business goals to align stakeholders

Key requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience in C#, .NET Core, SQL Server; JavaScript and React preferred
• Strong unit and integration testing practices
• Solid understanding of database technologies
• Experience with Agile development
• Eager to learn new skills and technologies
