Associate Director – Project Controls

In this role, you will lead PMO and Project Controls delivery to ensure governance, performance, and successful outcomes across commissions for a major infrastructure programme. You will build trusted client relationships, provide strategic guidance, and develop high‑performing teams while championing safety, quality, sustainability, and inclusion. You will help shape business strategy and drive continuous improvement within a high‑energy infrastructure consultancy. Responsibilities

• Manage PMO and Project Controls delivery with strong governance and performance management
• Develop and implement controls frameworks covering cost, schedule, risk, change, and reporting
• Build trusted client relationships and provide strategic advisory
• Develop high‑performing teams, promote best practice, and support net zero goals
• Champion safety, quality, sustainability, and inclusion in delivery
• Direct strategic PMO and Project Controls delivery and guidance for client outcomes
• Shape business strategy, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and deliver service excellence
• Mentor and develop talent, drive innovation and knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
• Extensive delivery experience in infrastructure projects/programmes
• Leadership and management of large, diverse teams
• Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders
• Experience working client-side and in a consultancy
• Practical application of PMO and controls in delivery environments
