Project Controls Manager

Overview

In this role you will deliver PMO and Project Controls services for a nationally significant infrastructure commission in Immingham, with most work remote and on-site visits twice monthly. You will implement PMO framework, report on performance, and collaborate with client teams to align with requirements and legislation. You will contribute to the net zero carbon transition during delivery and drive continuous improvement in PMO methods and planning integration. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes project governance and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver PMO and Project Controls performance on assigned commissions with mentorship from senior team
• Guide implementation of PMO/Project Controls framework and strategy on commissions
• Build strong relationships with client representatives and internal/external stakeholders
• Deliver monthly performance reports and facilitate reviews
• Identify development opportunities in PMO methodologies (e.g., EVM)
• Drive integration of PMO and Planning disciplines (e.g., Risk Management)
• Align PMO/Project Controls activities with Mace control centre, client requirements and legislation
• Support net zero carbon transition and actively manage carbon emissions reductions during delivery

Key requirements

• Basic understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle
• Knowledge of PMO and Project Controls service delivery in sectors such as rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals
