Senior Project Planner

Overview

As Lead Project Management Specialist – Project Planning, you will own the large-scale subsea project schedule, ensuring end-to-end planning quality and on-time delivery. You will work with multiple planners and execution functions to keep the plan realistic and aligned with execution realities. You’ll provide visibility on risks, lookaheads, and schedule opportunities, while reporting to enable informed decision-making. This role offers the chance to shape integrated planning in a leading energy technology environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall project schedule quality, updating dates and reflecting the scope of supply
• Coordinate with product line planners, engineering planners, and execution functions (engineering, procurement, manufacturing) to ensure schedule accuracy
• Provide lookaheads, identify schedule risks and mitigation actions, and surface schedule opportunities
• Generate and deliver reports to support project management decisions for on-time and on-budget delivery
• Interact with customers to communicate schedule status, challenges, and opportunities
• Adhere to approved processes and drive initiatives for fully integrated planning

Key requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree or relevant experience
• Experience in planning, preferably in oil & gas/subsea or large-scale mechanical manufacturing/controls environment
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 planning tool
• Understanding of linking project status to execution reality
• Ability to identify and drive actions for schedule risks and opportunities
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for coordinating a team of planners and cross-functional stakeholders
