Overview
As a Product Manager for Wise’s Accounting Infrastructure, you will help scale the backend ledger systems that form the company’s financial truth. You will work closely with engineering to influence ledger design, data models and event-sourcing, enabling real-time reconciliation across 50+ countries. The role focuses on secure, reliable financial processing and preparation of accurate reports through scalable, globally consistent systems. You’ll operate at the intersection of finance and product, driving architecture choices and governance to support Wise’s NASDAQ-listed growth. A strong candidate thrives on solving complex data and process challenges in a fast, cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and scale General Ledger databases and backend processing microservices
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and control environment of ledger infrastructure
- Design reliable tracking systems and workflows to prevent loss or unapproved changes to financial data
- Build secure tools and APIs for safe posting of financial records
- Structure databases to support multi-regional reporting for different accounting standards
- Define and execute product strategy for real-time reconciliation and global scale
Key requirements
- 5-6 years of product management experience in a hands-on role
- Ability to engage with engineers on ledger design, data models, and event-sourcing
- Analytical mindset with ability to trace data lineage across microservices
- Proven experience defining KPIs and moving them with shipped features
- Roadmapping experience from ambiguity to clarity
- Understanding of finance systems in engineering, data, or product contexts
