Project Planner – Civil Rail

Overview

In this role you will support the planning and scheduling for a major civil rail project, working within a main contractor team. You will collaborate with Project Managers to set milestones, duration, and sequence while reviewing supplier schedules. The opportunity focuses on contributing to HS2-scale infrastructure and advancing within a growth-focused environment. You will engage in progress meetings and help align schedules with project objectives, making a clear impact on project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing schedule data for tenders and contracts
• Collaborate with Project Managers to set schedule dates for activities and milestones
• Establish work sequence and durations for assigned projects
• Attend programme and progress meetings with Client
• Review and analyse suppliers’ schedules submitted

Key requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• Engineering background
• At least 2 years of planning experience with a main contractor
• Proficiency with planning software, including Primavera P6
